Hi, A problem common to electronics and power outages is that you get a spike in power when it comes back on. This has fried a lot of electronics in my area. To get some comfort using the electronic control, why not put good surge suppressor inline, so those spikes cannot cause damage? 🤔
Yours, Larry

I might have an old Mercoid Stack Relay in the original box If you are interested in going back in time a little further. Maybe you can one of Bob Denver's Grand children to pedal a manual blower.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

Honestly, I do appreciate those who gave some good input. I'm only hesitant with "new", because I ain't "new". Raised "old school", live "old school". Just a good old country boy here. Im curious about the settings you can make yourself with "new", cause I ain't new and did post "I'm analog, not digital". And why the heck does "new" and "better" cost less than what ya all call out of date? By about 1/3'd the cost.
Im thinking there are some young guys here also. GREAT for you grabbing a "blue collar" job and being passionate. Just tread lightly and learn everyday. I see A LOT of young guys come out of a "welding school", thinking there the best, no thanks for what the school teaches them. We all know, school and real life……BIG difference. If your young, and think your the best…..your done. You wont learn a thing if you already think you know it all. Coming out of welding school, with that attitude,…..basically doomed. I try with all in the field. Some make it very well, some only last a day or so. I deal with Cane Corso rescues now….I got patience…HAHA.
I do appreciate the help, and you guys seemed like a decent bunch. I also understand not wanting to put too much info out there as someone could burn there house down, kill themselves, or just really screw stuff up. I know more than enough about the system, the dangers, and live it….not everyone does. Simple works for me, and what I did was simple.
Thanks again all.

I don't see it as "going backwards", Im staying in the era when things were mostly made U.S.A., and with pride.
You're looking 30 years in the past. If you believe the current 8184 is made in the USA with pride, you are seriously deluding yourself!
