    I think the water heaters should be raised higher off the cellar floor. But then venting becomes a problem. This looks like new equipment install done wrong…twice (on twin installations).

    Hi guys, is me again so one of the boilers is working fine now but this one (imaged) is taking forever to turn on and when it does it turns off right away. The pump was flipped since it was backwards but now only one pipe is getting hot.

    Sounds like lack of water flow thru the boiler.

    Valve closed somewhere?

    Pump not running?

    Is that blue gate valve opened all the way?

    Also the expansion tank is still in the wrong place.

    Was the system bled again after the pump was flipped?

    this valve doesn't look fully open

    can you show us the pressure gauge on the side so we can see water pressure and temp? Has someone said they are completed with the work? Why didn't they put the expansion tank in the right place?

    Its very hard to read but from the one picture far away from the pressure gauge it looks like there's no or low pressure in the boiler should be at least 12-15 pounds. It also seems like they didn't just flip your pump they actually swapped it out for another model. so we need you to just peek behind that pump the same as you did last time you took the photo and see if the arrow on the pump body is pointing down towards the floor. Just want to verify that just because the pump label looks flipped that the actual pumping direction is correct.

    True, they put in a different pump. Not an ECM model. Can't tell if its pumping in the right direction. Need to see the back side of the pump.

    Bigger pump 0015. Pressure gauge does look "bottomed out." Something goofy is going on with the service people.

    THanks. Pressure is good. Pump is installed in the right direction.

    And is the blue handled gate valve opened all the way? turning Left is open, turning right is closed. We want it all the way to the left until it stops. turn up the thermostat and verify the boiler kicks on.

    Your drawing showed the copper as hot and the red plastic (pex) as cold right? Because if that is still the case then there is either significant air in the system or the "new" pump is not circulating the water.

    Also to be clear: the copper pipe may be "hot" with the plastic pex pipe being "not as hot", but it should be "plenty warm."

    @psb75

    Thanks

    Exactly as @psb75 said, the boiler temp gauge says its at 145 or 150 degrees so not as hot to the touch as the metal pipe would feel but still plenty of heat if it was circulating.
