Too hot….

Maybe we need a new thermostat or we need to change the Gorton valves in our second floor bedrooms. We have one-pipe steam radiators. We have a Gorton #4 on our living room radiator with the PRO T701 thermostat. When the temperature is at 70, the second floor bedrooms temperatures can get up to almost 80 degrees. The bedrooms have a No. 6 Gorton valve in two bedrooms and a No. 5

Any recommendations? Thanks

Put #4 vents on the bedroom radiators and the larger vents on the downstairs ones. If that doesn't slow them down enough put blankets on them.

Sometimes radiators can have anxiety issues… Paul knows all about Anxiety…. and just wrapping those anxious radiators in blankets can solve a lot of their overheating problems. Give the different vents a try first, if they still overheat, then cover those radiators as Paul has suggested.
