    Seems like maybe a later version of this one. Yours has two patent #'s listed, while the one below has only the one earlier patent #.

    Oddly, company name was actually Detroit Lubricator Company.

    I believe detroit lubricator got bought by american standard as they got more in to controls. I have also seen detroit lubricator refrigeration controls.

    Funny name for an air vent but I have heard that name before.

    It's an interesting device,if you look at the patent information.

    It appears to vary venting rates depending on pressure, slowing the venting under increasing pressure, and increasing it under low pressure. Looks like it belongs on a '32 Buick.
