Installing a second pressure gauge

What would be the correct way to add a second pressure gauge?
I was thinking a tee, with a plug on the right of it.. on the left a 3 inch inch pipe with a 90 el and then my second gauge ( 0 - 3)

Lots of ways that will work OK. You could build a classic water trap tree out of pipe to make it easier to clean out.
For a gauge only I kind of prefer the way @ChrisJ did it with a 18" pipe straight out of the top of the boiler to trap air and then a Dwyer Magnehelic Gage, but my system never goes over 2" Water Column. Multiple psi is way excessive, oversized boiler ?

oh duh, you are right, I dont need a plug!
I caught it on the way down.. I thought I was running at about 1lb but it hit 7 before cutting out..
Could be the gauge I know.. I have to check the pig tail..
The last time I monitored the gauge within the last month it never went above 3.. I know its not that accurate
