that’s the right one, or I should say “a right one”. Keep draining

If you are above the gauge glass then it will be several gallons to drain. Maybe 5, maybe more.

Did water shoot out the radiator vents?

thanks a lot. Owe ya one. No no water spit out thank goodness. For whatever reason it turn on while so full. I left it on as well, hope it wasn’t bad for it. Just happy that I was able to drain it back to half way and no emergencies.

Steam systems are very forgiving, because they are so simple. It's just a pot of water with some pipes coming out of it after all 😃 Glad it worked out!

hi ethical Paul I was just looking at your videos!! Cool glass things on yours!!!

I would your take on my system as I am near you nj. One pipe system. Some hissing and clanging but no hammer. I want to move my some of bigger pipes in my basement but not sure if I can with the pitch and all. Also the whole system is is oddly placed, boiler in front, electrical back left, gas back right, so just a criss cross of piping and plumbing ect.

feel free to contact me anytime via my link below. Clanging usually is hammer but different people call different sounds different things 😅
