Very low on oil! Shut off boiler or leave it on?
So of course I waited to the last minute to notice my tank is on empty.
Unfortunelty I don’t learn my lesson, I am very tight financially, and I am not in a contract with a company, so I’m trying to avoid my boiler shutting off before my delivery then having to pay $175-$250 to get my boiler bled out!!
should I shut off my boiler while waiting for my delivery? Will this stop the bleeding situation from happening? Please help!
Delivery is coming late tomorrow!!

Sure, shut it off. No freezing yet here. The ground is still warm.
I ran out once, and I do it for a living.
You're not in contract, but does it get serviced annually? It should.

What @DCContrarian said. Diesel or kerosene will get you through. It's more expensive but in a pinch it'll be fine and at least around me it's cleaner than #2. Also you aren't locked into a minimum purchase.
