I need to wire in thermostat to control boiler & zone pump
hay techs my customer want to install separate thermostat for basement tanent , to control his steam boiler & basment baseboards that feeds steam condensate water through pump , 1st flr uses steam with no auto valves, do u guys recommend installing auto valve addition to pump to completely isolate condensate flow through basment baseboards heat , cause tanents are complaining of high temp in space .any recommendations would be apreciated.

Just wire the circulator to the thermostat , Flow control is not needed for a basement . A boiler bypass is needed for the pipe work , You need to drop the water temperature on the low pressure side of the circulator to help prevent the condensate breaking in to steam…

do I need to install eqaustat on suction side of the pump set @ 180° , to turn off burners to avoid making steam & rise to 1st flr ?

Yes. The aquastat should be wired in parallel with the thermostat controlling the boiler from upstairs, to turn on the boiler if the water temperature is too low for heat in the basement, and turn it off at whatever temperature is needed to heat the basement. The upstairs thermostat will control the boiler to make steam, just as it always did.

ok, if the 1st flr calls for heat only & no pump running for bamsent , i don't think the condensate return will heat the bamsent baseboards to cause any temp rise ? I was going to install acuater but I i guess it's not needed.
