Headache with heil furnace and an amazon smart thermostat

okay so back in may i had purchased a amazon smart tstat installing was a pain since i swear i still have 70s wires had to rig up some jumps to make the ac work because it went from a four wire no c to a setup that needed a c wire but now as we get to the colder months i have run into the issue where now it wont run the heating ac worked wonderful though. The furnace will kick on, but it blows just air. Not hot and not cold, and now the thermostat has no power i assume. My wife used the G wire as the C wire on the thermostat, and jumped the Y to the G on the furnace so the fan would still work with the heat. I have included some pictures of the thermostat wiring and the furnace wiring. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank y'all in advance.

First, the colour of the wires is irrelevant. Electricity is colourblind.

Now. What I would suggest is that you go all the way back to square one. Find the wiring diagrams for your thermostat and you Heil control, and the instructions for what get connected to what. And follow them.

Off the top of my head — I'm not familiar with either of those units — I suspect you need connections to Rh (and a jumper to Rc), W (not W2, unless this is a two stage furnace), C, G and Y on the thermostat. I can't read the labels on the control.

If you post the wiring diagrams and instructions here, @EdTheHeaterMan is a wizard at figuring these things out and may help.

Once I know the designation of all the terminals on the Heil. I can get you where you need to be.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

Take the White wire at the thermostat from W2 and land it on W.

The door to the furnace must be on to power the thermostat.

Y and G are jumped so you obviously have no "fan only" control.

When possible, run a new 18/8 wire and connect all correctly.
