XR 80 not heating

Hi,

I hope you could help.

Fan is on, ignition turns red, I hear the 'click' of the gas valve, but then fire is not ignited and ignition turns off.

I played with wiring this morning and momentarily it turned off. Not sure if it's related to anything I did.

I tried to disconnect and connect again the connectors, it didn't help.

Anything else I can do before calling a technician?

Thank you!

You need three things: air, fuel, and ignition. It would seem that you have air and ignition (maybe), which leaves fuel — it could be the gas valve, it could be poor gas supply (is this natural gas or LP?), or it could be the ignitor is tired. All of those could bes are, generally speaking, better looked after by a qualified technician.

    Thank you for your comment.

It's LP, other units are working so I assume that the supply if okay.

"I assume that" … them's frightening words. Get a qualified tech. to check the actual gas pressure at the gas valve…
