Kitec! Uhg!

I recently had to replace some Kitec fittings, (copper to Kitec) for a repair on a fin tube heating system.

Of course, the parts are hard to find. Has anyone used another type of fitting? Maybe a common pex-to-copper adapter?

Roth’s Pex-Al-Pex fittings and tubing will work.

Of course, you’ll need the pressing tongs or the manual press tool.

Teal Corp. sells the Rems tongs and they’ll work on a Milwaukee or Ridgid 18v press tool.

Pex-Al-Pex is a different ID than regular pex, so the correct fitting must be used.

RE Michel carries the Roth fittings.

Has anyone used Oedeker cinch pinch crimp fittings? I have some and was thinking of using them.

They appear to be a good choice. I have used them on many types of Pex. But not on Kitec.

the outside diameter of the Kitec may not allow you to get a chinch ring on?

You want a fitting with dual o rings with zPAP tube.

Did you try Hydronic Alternatives or this company in Canada that makes Kitec replacement fittings
