IBC Boiler Ignition Trials Error

I have a IBC VX 150 system that is getting this error about once a week. Seems worse when it is not being used as often. The chamber has been cleaned very thoroughly and the unit is just a couple of years old. I can call in help for this but I am concerned that the contractor will just say to ignore it. Are there any known issues around this model or something I can even point them to. They carry multiple brands and since this sort of goes away each time I think they will say just skip it or ignore it.

It may have been cleaned — but did anyone actually test and adjust things like ignition electrodes? Air/fuel ratio? Draught? Takes test instruments to do it… and you should have a printout of the results.

  • The VX is a great boiler. Don't let anyone tell you to ignore it as it should run without errors.

Ok this is good stuff to hear. I will work with my contractor to make sure they do this. I don't think electrodes or air/fuel have been adjusted or tested since install 2 years ago.
