I have an aqua balance boiler system what is the right way to shut it down for the warm season?

You really don't need to do much to it other than turn it off — though it wouldn't hurt a bit if you had a way to run the circulating pump now and then.
At the start of next season you will, of course, have it serviced…

It is equipped with the recirculation pump that I could cycle once in awhile

Check your manual. It may have an "exercise" feature that runs the pumps every so often for just that purpose.

I was referring to the main system circulating pump or pumps.
