Removing 3rd floor Radiator - Need Advice
BACKGROUND
We are renovating a 3rd floor bathroom. We are removing the radiator. We have a weil mclain steam boiler 2 pipe system. No asbestos to worry about.
QUESTION
Can we cut the pipes and cap them (slightly below the subfloor on 3rd floor) without harming our heating system?
I’m a novice. I thought steam might rise up the pipe, turn to water, come back down the pipe and cause issues.

A small amount of steam will come up through the feed riset, turn to water, and come back down. Always has. Not to worry about it.
How to plan to heat the bath without a radiator in it?

Are you sure it's steam and not hot water?
If it's steam, it's almost certainly iron pipe, cutting and capping that is going to be hard, especially below floor level. You're better off finding a junction, unscrewing it and screwing on a cap or plug.

Thank you for the replies. I have a new Weil-McLain EG 45 Gas Boiler.
Comments make sense. I’ll verify.
Have a nice weekend.
