the first pic with red outlined circle is where leak is coming down out of the outlet I ve tried tightening it but constant drip continues not sure how to go about turning it off so can take the valve off and put new plumb tape on to see if that works. Any help would be appreciated trying save money and hopefully fix it without creating any bigger issues. Thanks

The valve that is leaking is a "pressure relief valve" It's function is to relive high water pressure. Those are usually set to releive at 150psi. You tank has 55 psi according to the gauge to the relief valve is likley bad. You can get a new one at a big box store , a plumbing supply house or at a good hardware store (if there are any of those left.

To change the valve shut off your pump at the switch or circuit breaker. Open a few cold water faucets to relive pressure. If you have a valve between the tank and your house fixtures you can close it so you wont have to drain as much water.

Then open the drain valve next to the PR valve and drain the water from the tank into a floor drain or into a bucket with a hose if you have to. Once the tank is empty take the prv valve out and install the new one using pipe dope or teflon tape.

Look on the old valve first to see what the setting is usually it is 150 psi and by one that matches. Make sure not to buy a 'Presure & Temperature relief valve that will not work.

While you are at the store pick up a threaded "garden Hose Cap" to put on your drain valve when you are done. Sometimes those leak if they are seldom used.

Make sure to use 2 wrenches when taking out the PR valve one to unscrew it and one to hold back on the piping.

Please re-read what @EBEBRATT-Ed and what @pecmsg said above.

If your problem does not go away after following what is said above ^^^^^^then look to your pressure switch. It may either be plugged or faulty altogether.

Time how long the pump takes to fill the tank from cut-in to cut-out. Should be at least 60 seconds. If less, the tank is either too small, or water logged.

Since the gauge reads 55 psi, the switch is probably 40 psi cut-in and 60 psi cut-out.
