Just received the new Caleffi idronics edition #34, "Evolution of Hydronic Balancing" that explains valve authority as well as many other things I know very little about. I call myself a hydronics pro, but reading these journals makes me feel like a beginner, but I sure like building my skill set.

hr: Who thought of using a cairn as a metaphor? Very nicely done!

8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab

I admire the company for succeeding in the HHW improvement business.

I failed miserably trying to convince enough building owners that improvements pay off. I blame rent control largely. Wait for a cold winter to get high fuel and repair costs to get an extra rent increase from control board.
