Advice on a Kn Series boiler

A friend called and said they were having issues with their Kn series boiler at his church. The loop was over heating but the temperature readout on the boiler read much lower. In this instance, the water temperature was 147 degrees and the readout read 34 degrees. There was no lockout. The manufacturers rep checked it out and said it was working fine but couldn't understand why the loop overheated. My friend checked the sensor resistance and it was correct. Have you ever heard of this? I haven't worked on many of these boilers. Thanks in advance

34 degrees makes no sense at all, unless somehow the thing is reading in Celsius -- and even then it seems low. So my money is on either the sensor, the sensor wiring, or the electronic widgets which interpret what the sensor is reading.Br. Jamie, osb
