Only as good as the contractor that sized it and installed it.

It's a RunTru or Ameristar, lower end Trane and American Standard units.

From reading the specifications and other documents, this is the entry level (or economy) furnace. It is made to minimum specifications and the price shows it. If however you have a qualified installer that knows what they are doing, you will find this piece of equipment to operate satisfactorily. You may spend a lot more on the premium furnace, and have it installed by a total idiot, and find that the more expensive offering is a piece of junk. Not because of the way it is built, but because it was not installed properly. That is why it is always better to have a good reliable contractor that stands behind the work they do, and forget about the name brand or equipment reputation.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?
