Flooring Installation (Remove Radiators?)

Hello, I am getting LVP flooring put in our house and I was wondering if I should have radiators removed for the installation. Thanks

If they're freestanding radiators, generally yes. Do you have enough movement in the feed pipes or shim height under the rads to account for the extra floor height?

When I did the floors in my dining/kitchen area, I disconnected the one radiator in the way so I could lay flooring under it.

It wasn't too hard even though it's the biggest radiator in my house (12 sections, 38" tall, 60 EDR). I walked it out of the way, laid a few rows of the vinyl flooring, then moved it back and reconnected.

That is why the old timers used unions to connect those radiators. The unions make it easy to disconnect the radiators.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?
