Proper Pressure Settings for Residential Steam Boiler

I got Burnham SIN6LNI-LE2 Steam Boiler, i found out it When the thermostat calls for heat, the boiler has been running for 25-35 minutes. Then, it shuts off. My 3 floor doesn't have heat or got some. I think pressuretrol isn't setup correct because i know the contractor touch few times, at beginning the heat turned on for more than an hour,,

Any help is greatly appreciated! Many thanks.

That's way too high. Residential steam should never need more than about a pound.

If the steam does not distribute properly, there are plenty of Steam Guys on here who can help you. Where are you located?

The lowest pressure that is needed to get the steam to the radiators. The Empire State building only needs 2 PSI. How far away from the boiler is your farthest radiator, compared to 100+ floors of the ESB?

Is this a one pipe steam system? Are all your air vents working? You need to get this book... We Got Steam Heat Available in the store on this site or on Amazon.com

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

It should never need more than an ounce. But the pressure controls don't really let you set it that low.

Adjust the settings with the two small screws on the top left side of the grey pressuretrol box.

Set the diff to 1 and the main to 1.5 for a cut-in pressure of 0.5 PSI and a cut-out of 1.5 PSI.
Without a low pressure gauge you won't be able to tell if the pressuretrol is accurate to those settings, but it will get you in the ballpark.

This is how I have mine setup, it's not identical but gives an idea.
I think this was as low as I could get mine without it having trouble resetting.

This is mine set to operate at .05 to 1.5psi according to the actual readings of a 0-3 PSI gauge to give you an idea how off the calibration is from the factory compared to the markings on the control.
