one pipe steam heat

I am in the process of restoring back to 1926 my one pipe steam heating system. I'm installing the insulation back that was lost due to asbestos abatement through out the years. The hangers have been removed what is code? It's 25 feet of a horizontal 2 inch main. Thank you in advance, Richard Rothowski

    What are you asking for.
Is it the code requirement for insulation or hanger spacing or both?

If it is hanger spacing. Eight to ten feet for two inch steel pipe.
As for the insulation. Fiberglass insulation. The greatest wall thickness that you can afford.

1 inch is plenty. Put all the insulation you can afford in your attic
