Two pipe steam radiator problems!

The "may" work if @wilder0m can get them to simulate an orifice. I don't think he's installed them as yet.reggi said:@wilder0m ... I guess those non-working valves aren't anything special if Bluefins work in their place... Glad you have your system sorted out..
I believe State Supply has, or can get, the Mepcos, because, you know, someone is gonna twist that valve handle.Trying to squeeze the best out of a Weil-McLain JB-5 running a 1912 1 pipe system.0 -
@Jamie Hall thank you, very helpful. I will install the Bluefins *for now* for the simple reason that I might install them and find that I still don’t have heat in those two rads, suggesting a problem somewhere else besides the old valves. Will upgrade to the Mepcos later, not only for those two rads but for several others that have ordinary valves on them.@reggi and @delcrossv : right, I haven’t installed them yet, but every other radiator is working with what seem to be very ordinary valves that are fully open. I’ll still take the advice here to try and calibrate them better, but my first priority is getting heat to the bedroom radiator.1
