Why does it need to be anything else? The code is referring to the entire gas valve circuit, not just the valve -- so I'd start checking to make sure the connections are correct and secure...

    Jamie ,
Thank you for replying. We say anything else because multiple companies have been out to look at our boiler with no help. They see no "issue" and are confused too. The boiler runs 12+ hours with no code  then shuts off and starts flashing the code .

    Hello @brrogers,
Did it flash code 6, "Internal Fault, gas valve circuit," before the gas valve was replaced ?
Was 24 VAC verified at the gas valve?
    A to C - Pilot Valve
    A to B - Main Valve
If not why was the gas valve changed ?

If the problem is intermittent, probably a poor connection somewhere, bad crimp, oxidized connector connection, failing solder joint in the control module, etc.

I just went through a similar experience, on a Weil Mclain 155 Ultra Series3, called the company tech support they say when lockout reads gas valve fault 99% of the time its the U control, you might have to replace the board.
