Beckett to replace Riello?

The existing Riello uses a .55 gph nozzle. Does this mean a Beckett would also use that same rating? I have the oil company coming to give me a price and was interested in which Beckett model would be used in a Buderus Logano G115

The nozzle can and most likely will be different based on the burner chosen but the oil company tech should know the proper setup.

I read there are AFG and NX Beckett. What’s the difference and how do these perform with a Buderus?

@Northerners123 , which G115 is this? What is the number that comes after the 115?

Why exactly is the Riello being downgraded IMO to a Beckett?
It doesn't so much matter whats stamped on the nozzle, but the actual firing rate based on nozzle size and pump pressure.
    The F3 Riello is a .55 nozzle @ 185 psi for a .75 GPH input.
The Beckett AGF and NX both show 150 psi using a .50 or .60 GPH nozzle for .61 or .74 GPH firing rates, respectively.

What is the problem they are trying to solve? I personally find Becketts easier to work on than Riellos, but either can perform well. I would not advocate changing burners just because the existing one isn't my favorite brand.

They aren’t it’s my own preference to have a burner that any tech can service without me having to second guess if they serviced it correctly. With this riello making noise , if it decides to quit in the middle of the night id prefer to be sure that they will be able to fix it with parts on the truck.

A valid concern -- and one reason why we often say that the installer is more important than the brand on the box.

It's 2024. If a residential oil tech doesn't have Riello 40 parts on the truck, they shouldn't have a truck.

And if they can't handle Riello, they sure won't be able to handle an NX.
