Inverted TRV

Hi All, I'm looking for an inverted TRV for a steam radiator with tight space. So the TRV would be 1/8" at the air vent. I know I will probably have to buy parts separately but I'm only finding straight TRV bodies.

@tobrien02382 , can you post a pic of where you want this TRV to go?

Now I realize I should be moving the air vent and/or TRV to the other side. But I don't know how to plug the hole or thread and drill the other side. Thank you for looking at it!

Is there room to move that radiator to the right?

No unfortunately but now that I look at this space closer I bet that is what ended this radiator up with this problem because someone flipped it over that way and didn't change the vent.

The vent can't be on the same side as the pipe.

    What's with the bubble wrap?

Oh yes I know. The house was built in 1900 and that’s an outside wall. We need more insulation.

Correct. If you move the vent to the side the steam pipe is on, the radiator won't heat properly. Steam will rise from the pipe and go right to the vent, closing it, and the rest of the rad will stay cold.

It might not look good but a
    street ell pointing up.
A length of pipe up to the top of the rad.
    your vent on top.
Secure the pipe or vent to prevent someone from moving it.

Agree with @pecmsg. You could use brass fitting to improve look.
