Water bill high in winter, not in summer

Have an American Standard GPH Hydronic Gas Baseboard heating system. I kill the circuit breaker to it when I switch the thermostat air conditioning in the spring and back on when I set the thermostat to heat in the fall. Why does my water bill go up when the system is on and is low when it is off?

Any idea where the water is going? The heating system should use no water to speak of at all. Any idea how much water is being used?Br. Jamie, osb

Are you looking at the amount of water used, or are you just looking at the monthly cost? If you're just looking at the cost, maybe where you live has different rates at different times of the year. If the amount of water used is increasing, then I'm afraid I don't have anything useful to offer.0

Either way turning the switch or circuit breaker should have no effect on water consumption0

Pictures of boiler, piping and zone valves would possibly help.0
