Replacement for Thermostat

I've been skeptical of these newfangled thermostats, but with my horrible experience this shoulder heating season, combined with some other oddities, I wonder what is available that provides more remote monitoring (rental property I don't live in) to tell me more about the heating profile. I've seen charts and graphs over the years on HH, but never paid any serious attention to what these newer devices can do.
For those not familiar with my posts, I have a wireless, wifi capable thermostat with a gateway so I can see both the temperature and thermostat setting, can adjust the setting up and down and turn the heat on and off. What I'm looking for is something that can show me the profile of the heating cycle.
So, HHers what are you familiar with, monitoring capability, pros and cons, any difficulties in installing and maintaining, etc.?

With help from HH, I've been able to find a remote thermometers with a +/- 0.5 F accuracy, most are closer to 1.8-2F that can monitor up to 10 stations, but that's at the receiving end rather than the heat generation end of the process.

I just have two basic Lux TX100's installed in our 4-unit condo building, running 2 separate boilers, each heating half the house on a single zone. So I don't have a smart thermostat.
However, I have been looking at smart thermostats and debating whether to try one. The two things I'd want are (1) adjustable swing and (2) graphic interface that shows the heating cycle profile, as you are asking for.
I haven't done a ton of research, but from what I've read so far, the Ecobee does that. There are a number of threads here on HH discussing the Ecobee, including screen shots of the graphic interface showing heating cycles. Here's one where a number of posts show different screen shots of the Ecobee's heating cycle profile charts:

IIRC, the orange bars at the top of the graphs show the boiler run time. The width of the bars corresponds to the length of time the boiler ran for that cycle.
I believe these graphs are available remotely. My limited understanding of the Ecobee is that you need a WiFi connection, and the data goes to a web-based interface that you can then access remotely.
I'd love to have those graphs for our system, but we don't have a C-wire for an Ecobee, and I've had too many other priorities.0
