0psi on boiler

I noticed my pressure relief valve dripping checked expansion tank it had 20 psi then I looked at the gauge which read 0 PSI I added water which triggered the relief  valve  I’m not sure if I have a refill loop or what to do next any suggestions would be appreciated

    The next thing to do is to trot over to Home Depot or someplace like that, get a cheap gauge and adapters to hook it up to a hose bibb or drain valve on your system and hook it up -- and see what the pressure really is. Odds are that the gauge you are reading is lying to you...

    Would a drain valve tend to belch dirt into that gauge ?
    And.. just in case you cant get the drain valve closed, they do make hosebib "caps". Good to have one of those handy.
    30+ yrs in telecom outside plant.

    Are you checking the air charge in the expansion tank? The tire stem at the end?

    Sounds to me like you might have no water in the boiler due to the relief valve is not closing. When you go to fill it's just leaking out. Get a relief valve if you're going to the depot. you can always keep it on the shelf if i'm wrong.
