Get the proper repair coupling and repair from floor below and reconnect clean above the floor0

Any thoughts on using a compression coupling assembly (https://www.heatlink.com/product/heatlink-heating/69005/12-x-12-pex-comp-coupling over a press assembly in this use case?0

You can choose to do what you want, but you cannot choose the consequences.1 -
Whoops fixed my original link - https://www.heatlink.com/sites/default/files/Info Sheet/L2338-INFO-38-PEX-Tubing-Repair.pdf
Looks like I have a few options
I guess my final question is since the repair will be below the floor, I will need additional pex-a tubing, can I use any brand pex-a o2 barrier or do I need to use the same brand (heatlink pex-a)0 -
If you use a crimp coupling, the top one, or the lower compression coupling, any pex can be used for the repair.
Compression couplings for pex have nylon ferrules inside. The brass ones will cut the tube, so get a plastic "pex" specfic compression coupling, if you go that route.
If you have any slack, you just need one coupling? Cut 1/4" on either side of the nick.
the coupling takes up some distance.Bob "hot rod" Rohr
