Cyclegard replacement on two boiler system

Hi..I have two Smith Series 8 Gas fired Boilers to heat this house replacing the one big one that was here before put in 11 years ago.
They came with Cyclegard LWCO.
I think one of the Cyclegards is failing it always seems to be off but goes on sometimes the other Boiler is on all the time no on off.
In this shared water steam one pipe system with two boilers is it possible that I replace the one failing Cyclegard with a Safgard on the one keeping the other Cyclegard as is ? Thanks

Maybe. It could be the way the system is piped. Need pictures of the boilers and all the piping around it to see what is going on.

Also how are the boilers controlled? One thermostat or two thermostats or a two stage thermostat??

It seems much more likely that the condensate is all ending up in one of the boilers for one reason or another and it it legitimately shutting the boiler down because it doesn't have enough water.
