    I did not care for him as president. But I have the upmost respect for both of them and the way they conducted their lives. They are tireless workers both in and out of office and kept going as long as they could and then kept going some more. If only the politicians, we have now had the character they both have. Much respect.

    Yup, they don't get the respect for all they did post White House. Yes, he wasn't the greatest Prez. but he was incredible after the fact. So nice to see a 90 some year old man with sleeves rolled up building houses for the less fortunate. My cousin thought so much of them he drove from Detroit to GA to attend a service where they attended and he sat on one of Jimmy's Sunday School classes.

    I love watching her interviews from her younger days. She had a true southern accent that you don't hear much anymore.

    She and Jimmy were married 77 years. Think about that- how many marriages have we seen break up after 5 or 7 years? That's quite an accomplishment.

    I'll take an honest man or woman over all other attributes, skills, even intelligence.  They walked the Walk 🚶‍♂️and then some.  I have known and met very few Farmers 🚜 that were anything but honest, straight foward, dedicated and trustworthy! Mad Dog 🐕
