HONEYWELL HEAT GENERATOR

So today on the job I had the privilege to see a HONEYWELL HEAT GENERATOR still piped into a hot water system I didn’t get the chance to see where it lead to upstairs but there it was I almost “ put my hands in my pocket and turned around” it was straight from the stuff of Dan Holohan’s Dead Men. The lady in the house had no idea and asked me what it was I was proud to be able to answer her question. Hear are some pics

    Been a long time since I saw one.  Listen to Mad Dog, don't tip it over.  Loaded with mercury if memory serves.

    That Heat Generator would have been connected to an open expansion tank on the top floor or in the attic, which may or may not still be there. Note the diaphragm tank hanging above the boiler........

    It is much smaller than the drawings I have seen would have implied. It is like the size of a mercury gas regulator.
