Hello,
Looking to install a Powered Anode on a brand new 53 Bradford White Indirect Hot Water Heater. Is there any particular Powered Anode rod manufacturer anyone recommends? I see there is a few manufacturers out there.
Thanks,
Pat

Hi, I'd just look at the configuration of the anode. An ideal anode would be a ball in the center of a spherical tank. This way the distance to all areas to be protected would be equal. In a cylindrical tank, I'd want an anode long enough to go much of the way to the bottom of the tank, because it usually is harder to protect than the upper portions.
I'd want the anode to have a light or some indicator that lets you know it's working. Sometimes they fail and you need to know that.
Finally, I'd compare warranties to see who has the strongest one.
