Moved radiator. Will it bang?

Had a radiator moved for a bath remodel.  The new piping doesn’t look quite right.  Can you all advise?

Fits in great with all the other piping.
Water? Steam? One Pipe, 2 Pipe, Monoflow (hopefully wasn't).

There was an error rendering this rich post.

The reduced pipe size might be a problem. Can you post a pic of the radiator itself?

This is one pipe steam.  The radiator always had a 1” supply coming up thru the floor.

As long as the pitch is correct, it should work fine.

Why was the size reduced on the horizontal?

Hi Gerry.  I don’t know why the plumber did it like that.  Maybe they’re not familiar with steam.  I don’t recall seeing bushings in my steam pipes besides at a radiator.

It MAY be ok, but I'd rather see a Proper Reducing 90 degree elbow than a bushing. It could ship water up with the steam as it passes over that condensate puddle.  Tell the plumber rags are cheap....wipe that dope off..neatness counts!  Mad Dog 🐕

I agree with @Steamhead it'll probably be fine

I also agree with @Mad Dog_2 someone, anyone, should wipe that excess dope off. It's only going to become much harder to do after it gets hot.

Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

Yes..Lots of unsightly piping jobs often look much worse than they actually work, including Steam headers.  Mad Dog 🐕

That runout is counterflow, or should be, so the condensate is flowing from the smaller to the larger pipe. It won't back up. That said, I would have used a reducing 90 as well.
