Short Cycle Timer

Looking for recommendations for a generic replacement for the short cycle timer contained in my outside Nordyne condenser. I a nice mouse nest and chewed up all sorts of wires, blew the 24V AC transformer in the air handler, and made a huge mess that I found in the spring. Everything has run fine after repairs I made until I started hearing the contractor chattering today. If I bypass the timer, the chattering stops. The PCB is an absolute mess from the mouse pee so I’m not surprised. The original part is Nordyne 621586 but was superseded by 621586R. Of course, that was discontinued last year. Curious if folks that service these regularly have any suggestions on a 24VAC compatible replacement? Also, can I get by for a few days without the timer?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
