I’m updated my oil supply line, and I figure this product is right up my alley, since for myself I’m totally in favor of overkill regarding protecting from spills: jacketing plus sleeve, sounds good to me. Wondering if anybody’s used this or knows the manufacturer.

That’s is what all supply houses use when doing new oil boilers or tanks, go to your local supply house first.0

Really, they use the orange jacketed stuff PLUS that black outer sleeve? If so, makes sense to me.
I’ve never been to the local supply houses, I know there’s a Sid Harvey and an F.W. Webb, also a Ferguson and RAL near me — anybody have a preference? (I’ll call first, but a Sid Harvey — not my local one — told me they only sell to pros.)Just curious, why do you say go to a local place over ordering from supply house.com? Do pros use supply house.com, or should I avoid it and go local? I’m lazy (hence, Internet) but agree with you in that I would really rather deal with humans in a store.
(If anyone has a favorite plumbing/heating supplier in Orange County NY let me know.)0 -

Personally, I'd order it from Supplyhouse.com if you're a DIY'r.
And yes, many "pros" order from supplyhouse.com I've ordered thousands and thousands of dollars worth from them over the past 12 years or so.
If I was running a new oil line I'd ask @STEVEusaPA his opinion. IMO he's one of the best when it comes to oil.Single pipe quasi-vapor system. Typical operating pressure 0.14 - 0.43 oz. EcoSteam ES-20 Advanced Control for Residential Steam boilers. Rectorseal Steamaster water treatment1 -
Thanks, and yes I have received lots of detailed, informative and sage advice from @STEVEusaPA in other threads. I will be using much of his advice in converting to one-pipe and updating the line and stuff — unless I chicken out and let the oil company do it. (But even then I’d use that advice in telling them my preferences.)0

I’ve decided it might be dumb to order 50 ft of that double protected stuff. I would only want the extra second layer of protection (if I want to overdo things) between the side of my protective tank bin down through the exterior wall and maybe a few feet in. I can buy something cheap if I want a sleeve for the already jacketed line.Anybody even use sleeves over jacketed line (if so what’s good?) or is that senseless overkill. Between outside tank and house then it would be jacketed copper plus sleeve for two layers plus insulation!0
