Almost everybody who had one 9 years ago still has it. 25-30 years is not at all uncommon if it's properly installed. I've got one in a rental property that I believe is from 1987, and had another rental property with a 1964 model Sears boiler that was still operational until it froze prior to my purchasing the home (foreclosure, not properly winterized).1

I got offered to have mine changed to a Worcester free of charge ..terms and conditions apply for free..I can share details if anybody need to do the same0
