Who still has one of these older then 8 years old

    Almost everybody who had one 9 years ago still has it. 25-30 years is not at all uncommon if it's properly installed. I've got one in a rental property that I believe is from 1987, and had another rental property with a 1964 model Sears boiler that was still operational until it froze prior to my purchasing the home (foreclosure, not properly winterized).

    I got offered to have mine changed to a Worcester free of charge ..terms and conditions apply for free..I can share details if anybody need to do the same

    Mines 22 years young. That replaced a 1920 Thatcher!

    I assume UK? Boilers on this side of pond are a LOT older!

    I have a non condensing cast iron Slant Fin Galaxy from the early 80’s.   
    Slant Fin Galaxy GG100(1986) , 2 zone hot water baseboard, T87 Honeywell thermostats.

    Seems boilers in the UK connected to open air expansion tanks don’t last as long as closed loop US systems .

    Is the part of the reason that the UK is the largest boiler market😗

    hey mikeamann: what make of boiler was it and what did you do in the rebuilding?
