I've got some old radiators that I have never seen this shape. Where can I go to get info for steam load?

Post a few pictures. One of us may have seen them... or they may be in the book (Every Darn Radiator)

Bundy Standard radiator made by A.A. Griffing Iron Co in NY. They come in heights of 24", 30", 36", and 42" and have 1-4 rows of loops. https://archive.org/details/bundyradiatorsfo00aagrrich/page/20/mode/2up If you look at the base of each of those, I believe you can just make out the company name. Make sure you have the standard loop and not enlarged. It will impact the EDR. See this: https://archive.org/details/illustrated1890900aagr/page/68/mode/2up
Both of those have two rows of loops, the second white one you posted is 2 rows of 8 loops (2 x 8), so as an example if it's 36" tall with a standard loop then the EDR would be 48 sq. ft. (p. 22 in the first link).
    Here's another catalog from 1885: https://archive.org/details/AAGriffingIronCo/page/n7/mode/2up

A 2 pipe steam system with air vent on the rad?

Is there some kind of steam trap on the outlet?

What keeps the steam out of the return line?

Two pipe air vent steam. An older system, but it works very well.

And nothing keeps the steam out of the "return" -- the system is described in The Lost Art.
