Decent clip on thermometer for pipe?

I'm looking for a fairly good clip on thermometer that I can clip onto a 1/2" or 3/4" copper or brass pipe. This is permanent not just for testing.
Temperature ranges would be something in the 150F neighborhood, something around 200-250F and something around 50F.
I've seen some really cheap ones on Amazon etc, but I have a feeling they either won't last long, or will not be very accurate.
The uses are for compressed air, as well as domestic hot water.

Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

These are nice if you don't mind digital

I picked up a roll of K type thermocouple wire & made my own. For refrigerant piping, I just stuck the stripped ends into liquid solder. The conductors don't wet, but they'll stay attached. For sched40, I just twisted the end together for about a quarter inch & taped it on to the pipe, with a wrap or two of foam tape on top for insulation. Basically the same treatment for air temps.
I suppose with the junction being just a twist & not weld, they're not 'permanent', but I haven't had one fail yet when I needed to use it (startup & commission, mostly).

I use these clip on from supply house for general monitoring. Anything precision I use thermocouple reading off the Combustion analyzer. For longer term analysis, I have Arduino based thermocouple app I wrote.0
