Minimum Clearances for SpacePak Heat Pump

Hello,

We currently have a SpacePak SIM-060A4 heat pump in our backyard for our radiant heating system. The manual lists required clearances, but also specifies that “Clearances shown are assuming no wall extends more than 6” above the top of the heat pumps, there is no overhead roof, and there are not more than two barrier walls adjacent to the units”.

We have one two-story wall of the house set approximately 2' from the back of the pump, and the front side is currently open. We are trying to figure out if that 60" front clearance changes if we build something like a shed in front of it, or what clearances change if we want to build barrier/sound walls around it. Are there additional clearances listed somewhere or a way to calculate clearances needed when the assumptions from the manual aren't met?

Give tech support a call 413 564 5530, best to have factory blessing for any potential issues down the road.

presalesupport@spacepak.com to have a record of the decesion.

    Or the local rep.

    what's the question

6" from the rear and 60" discharge.

    More is better.

Less will create issues depending on the ambient and prevailing winds.
