Hot water radiators

My brother in law was trying to get one of my radiators unconnected because it was leaking and not tight enough. He used pb blaster instead of wd40 to get it loose. Now everytime the heat goes on it smells of the chemical and I have to turn the heat off. How do I get the smell out? Can I just open the windows and burn the smell off?

Im surprised this is system wide issue in a hot water system... is this a steam system? Try hitting the area w/ some citris degreaser. Should help. If it is steam the only real way to get it out of the system is to flush/ drain/ skim it out. That could take time.

Simple Green works pretty well, too. Foor the smeall, anyway. But as @kcopp said, if this is steam the odour may linger.
May I ask where and how the radiator was leaking? Unless it is the radiator itself which is cracked or rusted out, there was no need to get it out...Br. Jamie, osb
