Amtrol boilermate gasket

This past week I have had 2 cases where the gasket to the Amtrol CH series indirect has failed. I have tried to replace this gasket in the past w/ less than great results.
The gasket is relatively thin for this.
Anyone else had/ witnessed this?
Any hints to a successful water-tight repair?

Are you talking about the inlet/outlet fittings/gaskets at the top? I only have a few in my customer base, no gasket issues.
There was an error rendering this rich post.

Yes. Where the big coil bolts down to the tank. I have a few out there and yes not a lot of issues. Just odd 2 in one week.
I did try once before to repair and it did not work0 -
these tanks were known for premature failure. We used to call the the "atom bombs" because of their shape. I'd replace with a stainless indirect and enjoy longevity.
