Installed a Nti ftvn199c boiler and a 4 zone plumbing setup with a taco sr506-exp switching relay and am just having trouble with the setup.

Wired up everything per the directions and once I fired the boiler up im getting a 101 code (overheat)

guessing ive just not got the wiring or programming sorted correctly.

You need the jumper between “ZR” and “ZC”.

Why do you have a thermostatic mixing valve installed?

I have that same boiler (HTP version) in my house and we sell and install them regularly. I can find no where in the instructions that it’s required.
Are you running two supply water temp zones?

I may have screwed up then. I was going by the sticker on the outside of the box.

A thermostatic valve is required on the domestic side. Not on the heating side. You just need to put your closely spaced tees. the manual will help you to pipe it correctly. If you are working with low temp in the house, that makes a bit more sense.

Yes, that sticker is referring to domestic water heating.

    Is this a combi boiler?

Some pics of the boiler and its piping would help.

I think that boiler needs to be piped primary secondary, or with a hydraulic seperator. No mix valve needed in the boiler piping.

Here’s a look at the piping. I pulled the tempering setup and rethought the primary secondary setup.

Anyone think I could cross where I had the tempering system and make it work?

We need a pic showing all of the bottom of the boiler and the piping under it.

The expansion tank can be in the boiler or system loop.
