Replacement boiler

What is the smallest boiler available for one pipe steam. The system I’m doing is around 130 EDR.

The Weil Mclain EG-30 rated for 196 sq ft. is about as small as it gets to my knowledge.

Yeah, Peerless, my favorite, only gets down to like 230

So that seemed weird to me as the Weil Mclain has the exact same input. So I ran the numbers and I'm pretty sure the 169 is a typo. They list the output on steam as 47,000, divide that by 240 and you get 195.833 sq ft. I'm betting someone transposed the 6 and 9.

Does that 47,000 include the pickup factor?

@KC_Jones, good catch. That 169 figure is clearly not correct based on the input and net output in MBH.

As for the original question, assuming we are talking gas boiler, the Burnham IN3 is 158 sq. ft. See:https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/catsy.782/Independence+Product+Data+Sheet.pdf

(I am not saying that I recommend it based on the experience of others with the Independence boiler--if it is even still available.)

we have have both fuel types available. I would like to go with gas. Could probably live with 160 or so with a little cycling. Thanks for the info.
