Heat Loss Calculation needed In Rockland County NY

Hi everyone,

I need a heat loss calculation on a 13 unit apartment building in Rockland County NY. Can anyone give a recommendation for a qualified person? Ive tried a few of the online heat loss calculators and the numbers that each give are all over the place. Would like to leave this up to a pro.

My plan is to have the existing boiler replaced for the next heating season. Existing boiler is currently supplying hot water to Carrier Units (convector with blower) in the apartments. I would also need a consultant/engineer to see if its possible for these Carrier Units to be replaced with Cast Iron Radiators once the new boiler is installed.

Thank you

Do you need a stamped engineered calculation and design?
Here is the Caleffi rep for that area. They will know the knowledgable hydronic designers and engineers in that area. Ask for Steve Z

Thank you, to start I would just like an accurate Heat Load Calculation. As I'm new to this I'm not sure if that is something that requires an Engineers Stamp. I will give them a call

Yes, thats very critical data to have so you employ the most accurately-matched equipment.  I'm curious if your D.O.B. (Bldg Dept) require a PE's Stamped plans/report? Some do, some don't.  Please keep us posted. Mad 🐕 Dog
