Hey I did a quick drawing for a customer, 175,000 btu with three take off & a drop header too I put down 4 or 5 inch but I think 4 would be good.
Also anything wrong with 2 inch on the return

Four or five inch pipe is total overkill for 175,000 BTU input.  Weil McLain calls for 2.5" header with single 2.5" riser or two 2" risers.  If you ran two 3" risers with a 3" header (dropped or not) I think it work great.

Two inch return sounds like overkill as well.  Nothing wrong with it, but we typical see two 1.25" returns on boilers of this size.

Scotty is right. Also. I try not to use elbows at ANY LOW points under the water level so you can drain out and flush the mud-puppy legs.  Use a heel tee and boiler drain. Mad Dog

Under the water line I noticed they replaced a length of pipe with 1 inch just to be cheap. ( it’s about 21 feet ) in my head that should be at least 1-1/2 because of sludge, also give the water some volume

Bet you haven't priced 4" and 5" Ward steam tees and elbows! Have fun, check it out! Scott and Mad Dog saved you thousands.

The 1" return will serve 900 EDR (216,000 BTU) of radiators. You'll look up the radiator dimensions and find the EDR of each, which we hope you did when sizing the boiler. Oversizing a boiler is the worst and most common mistake you can make.

We recently installed a Burnham Steamex 500 that has 4 steam tappings.  We blew them right up to 4" and didn't even do a drop header and the black pipe and steam fittings were $4600 bucks.  I almost fell over!!!!!  Mad Dog 🐕

Whats cheaper than heel tees is a full tee w a black bushing and I like that because you may need down the line for cleaning out returns or pulling a Hydronic zone off it. Mad Dog

It's probably only the drawing, but just to be picky:

The elbow off the header for the equalizer should be the same size as the header. You don't want condensate to pool there. You can use a reducing elbow if you want.

    That's cheating. Use a $5 brass plug.
