Hi hi I have a Laars Endurance EBP 175.
F4 and F2 codes.
Replace flow temperature sensor.
Replace high limit sensor. Boiler did work for a couple days. But now won’t work.
LCD read 181. Thanks for any help.

What does the manual say those codes mean?Bob Boan

Sorry for the late response. The code say. F4. Flow temperature sensor faulty.I install a new sensor0

Hello @ArchimoreHorie,
Since it is now apparently displaying a temperature, is it "bFt" or "tnt" or "rtt"
There are "FAULT TREE" flow charts in the manual that may help you. Does the internal pump run ?

Yes the internal pump run0

Hello @ArchimoreHorie,
No more Fault Codes ?
Not locked out " LO Lock Out - Combustion Related " ?
Sounds like if it is at " bFt 181 " it does not need to run, the water is at the maximum desired temperature.

Hello @ArchimoreHorie,
Was the wiring and connections for the replaced sensor checked all the way back to the Main PCB. Were any connectors for the sensor re-seated (boiler power disconnected).
I'm wondering if just the opposite of this is happening,
That the 'thermostatic union' is stuck closed and the heated water does not leave the boiler or another system pump is not working.

The code does NOT say the sensor is at fault, but that there’s a flow sensor fault.
That could simply mean that sensor is doing its job and not sensing proper flow.
Is there an inlet screen? If so, has that been checked?Bob Boan

The [MC] should indicate a rapid rise intemperature to 150° F (1-2 min. duration). During this period the thermostatic union at the flow outlet is closed and the boiler is operating in the internal recirculation mode. [Service note: If the temperature rise is not rapid the union thermostat may be defective and must bereplacedWill check in the morning. Also the wiring0

@Ironman. I don’t know if a screen0

Was checking my boiler now. As soon as it ignites. It goes to 220 and shut off. Any know why.0
-
It sounds like lack of flow. Plugged inlet screen or pump not functioning.0
-
I take out the heat chamber and clean it last night. Run water though it. Water flow ok. New pump0
-
Update. New pump I get after one week. Broken shaft.0
