Trunk line problem

Hello again ! I was helping my brother in law do some insulation in his Crawlspace and he mentioned the rust on the hvac trunk. I looked and found it to be totally rotted out in one section, toward one end of the length. The condensation pipe is dripping right on the sheet metal, rotting it out. We are having some contractors take a look. Question, can trunk line sections be removed and replaced at each seam where the S clamps hold the section to the next?
