Is Hercules original anti freeze (Blue) already mixed down to 45% Glycol? I want to run system at 40% glycol, would I only need to dilute 5% down to 40% ?

Do you know which version of the Hercules you have? This is the most common.

Use the chart on the container to get the freeze protection you want. That varies from different blends, so % is not always the same.

To boost an existing system without knowing the volume of fluid would be a bit of hit and miss. I kept a container of 100% fluid to use for boosting. Using a premix glycol may waste a lot of purge to get to the level you want

Check with a refractometer to see when you get to the rate you want

What freeze and burst temperature are you wanting?
I used the Rhomar Ultra for boost, it is straight glycol. Looks like the Hercules 100 may be also.

The price is another indicator of the strength of the fluid🤔

Yes, the original with the light blue label is 45%. The -100 is 55%. The AG is 95%.
