OQ95M-200 Hot Water Boiler Wont Reset

We had a gas leak down the road so the utility company had to shut down the gas.

The boiler went into a hard lockout E-02 (ignition failed after 5 attempts).  One of our techs then turned the power off to the unit putting it into a E-O4 lockout (power lost after lockout)

The gas line has been repaired and the gas company turned the gas meter back on.

I understand this needs a manual reset but hitting the reset button on the control panel does nothing, it just remains in the lockout.

Any advice on how to rectify the issue.

This needs the gas company or a very competent tech. to reset. There may be air in the gas lines -- or there may not be, but you don't want to be the one to find out.

Sounds like a triangle tube prestige? the older one with a grey flip down cover? You cannot reset hard lockouts by turning off power to that unit, it will throw the additional code saying the unit lost power while locked out.

To reset (if this is indeed a triangle tube boiler with the flip down cover)
flip open the front cover where the screen and buttons are located. there will be an open terminal with bare pins exposed on the right side. When looking at the boiler you will shorting out the two pins on the left side, 1 pin on top and 1 pin on bottom, only those two pins. Use a screwdriver or piece of metal to connect those two pins together briefly. This will reset the boiler

this image shows the actual board and where you need to short the pins. You won't be able to actually see the circuit board, just the screen, buttons, and bare pins
